If your DJ controller is not recognized by your computer or does not turn on, follow these troubleshooting steps.

1. Check the power source and connections
- USB connection: Ensure that your DJ controller is properly connected to your computer using a USB cable. Use the USB cable provided with your controller or a high-quality replacement.
- USB port: Try connecting the controller to a different USB port on your computer. If possible, use a USB 2.0 port, as some USB 3.0 ports may not be fully compatible with certain devices.
- Use a powered USB HUB: If your computer's USB ports are not providing enough power, try using a powered USB hub. This can supply the necessary power to your controller and may resolve the issue.
- Try another USB cable: If the controller still does not power on, try using a different USB cable.

2. Perform a restart
- Power cycle the device: Disconnect the DJ controller from the computer. Wait for a few seconds before reconnecting it to see if it powers on.

3. Verify computer settings
- Power Management Settings (Windows): Ensure that your computer's power management settings are not set to disable USB ports to save power. Go to "Device Manager," find "Universal Serial Bus controllers," right-click on each USB Root Hub, select "Properties," and under the "Power Management" tab, uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."

- Energy Saver Settings (MacOS): Check that your Mac's energy saver settings are not set to put USB devices to sleep. Go to "System Preferences," select "Energy Saver," and ensure that "Put hard disks to sleep when possible" is unchecked.

4. Test with another computer
- If possible, connect your DJ controller to another computer to determine if the issue is specific to your original computer. This can help identify whether the problem lies with the controller or the computer.
